Divorce certificate / judgment translation
Sworn translation of documents dissolving a marriage for a new marriage at USC, a residence card and cases where you must prove the previous marriage ended.
Polish offices need not “any certificate” but a document that proves the date and fact of marriage termination — an odpis, a certificate or a final court judgment. The format depends on the issuing country.
Divorce document translation: certificate vs court judgment
Divorce certificate or court judgment?
It depends on what your country issued. In Ukraine you often have a court judgment plus a note / extract. In Poland USC may ask specifically for a final judgment or a foreign odpis. Send a scan — we will say which document is enough for your procedure.
Why does USC need this before a new marriage?
To confirm the previous marriage has ended.Without proof of divorce the USC head will not register a new marriage. The translation should include the finality / entry-into-force date if it appears in the original.
Is a stamp in the passport enough?
No — offices need a separate act or judgment.A passport annotation does not replace a sworn translation of an official divorce document.
How many pages is a court judgment?
Often more than a single civil-registry act.A short odpis is usually 1 page. A full judgment with reasoning can be several billable pages; we count after the scan and lock the price before starting.
Do you need a finality (prawomocność) note?
Yes if it is on the document or USC requires it.If the judgment has no stamp of finality, we warn you before translation — sometimes you must first obtain the note from the issuing country’s court.
Apostille on divorce papers
Often for USC and court. For transcription / recognition of a foreign divorce, an apostille or other legalisation appears more often than for a residence card. We will confirm for your office.
Languages for divorce document translation
We work both ways: a foreign document into Polish for offices in Poland, a Polish document into the destination-country language.
Documents from Ukraine for offices in Poland — the most common pair.
Soviet-era documents and those issued in Russia and Belarus.
Documents from the UK, Ireland, the USA, India and the UAE.
Polish documents for Ukrainian offices — certificates, extracts, rulings.
For foreign employers, universities and consulates.
For offices and banks in countries that require Russian.
Three types of translation — and when you need each
If the document goes to a public office — you need a sworn translation. Prices below are for Ukrainian, Russian and English; other languages are quoted separately.

Who already ordered
All reviewsI sent a photo in the evening, had a PDF by morning, and the paper copy in Wrocław two days later. Urząd Wojewódzki accepted it without questions.
They asked to match the name spelling to the passport — I would not have thought of it. That is why the pack was accepted first time.
The amount quoted on Telegram did not change. Good when there are no “extra pages” at the end.

These are the questions we hear most about this document.
